This is a talk I shared at the All On Fire Conference we hosted here in Vancouver a little over two years ago. I would like to share this again especially in light of the recent antics by pro-life leaders. I am so grateful that God opened my eyes to the error and sin that is in the pro-life movement. God is not through with me yet by any stretch. I have more growing to do for sure. But I am so grateful that He opened my eyes to the compromise and timidity in the pro-life movement that is not of His spirit or consistent with His word.
There is more I would add to this talk now, and even then there was a lot more I could say about why I am an abolitionist and not a pro-lifer. But in this talk there are three differences of the pro-life movement/ideology compared to the abolitionist movement/ideology:
- Organizational Driven versus Grassroots Driven
- Ignoring Apathy in the Church versus Calling the Church to Repent of Apathy
- Worldly Pragmatism versus Radically Biblical
