There is a belief out there that is all too common. And that belief is that if you are “causing division” then you are sinning. Amongst Christians this belief is everywhere. Unity is more important then truth. If you upset or offend someone surely you are doing something wrong.
The word of God says otherwise. Jesus Himself lived a life counter to this idea.
When we speak truth in love, it will expose division that already exists. Unity is an abomination if it is unity about something other than what God desires for His people. Peace is not our God. The Prince of Peace is our God.
